The hubs is out of town, and I don’t feel like cooking. Isn’t it funny how that happens? Someone is missing from the table, you’re out of salt, or the moon is shining, and all desires to make dinner go out the window. I took my son to karate, and somewhere between roundhouse kicks and the 20th kiai, I decided to check out the Crabfest at Red Lobster.
We went to the Red Lobster by Sports Arena in San Diego. There are so many dishes that include crab. It’s pretty easy to see that they went the distance … all the way to the wild Alaskan waters and back! The Crabfest at Red Lobster is for a limited time, so I ordered several great dishes. Their seafood is sustainable while protecting our coasts and oceans. Learn more by visiting the Alaska Seafood Website.
I started with the Rogue Wave. Whenever the hubs is out of town, it’s really tough on me. I can’t do as much as I’m used to. How did I do it all when I was a single mom? I can’t remember, and I don’t want to. So yes, gimme a Rogue Wave, por favor. Tequila, blue curacao, and margarita mix topped with ginger ale. It’s cold and refreshing. Perfect for summer. Plus, it comes with a collectible Deadliest Catch™ mason jar which I think can be used to hold shells. Are you a fan of the show? Such a good show!
What is your crab dish of choice? Pasta? Crab fitters? Personally, I love cracking and snacking. The Alaska Bairdi Crab Legs Dinner was mine. All mine. It’s a pretty big meal for one, but I finished it. No shame in my game. Ok. Truth be told, my Little Red helped me a little. This is when I don’t mind getting crabby. Crab juices squirting. The table is a mess. Suck up all the sweet crab juices, and YUM!
This was my Little Red’s first time eating with crab crackers, but I knew he would enjoy the Crabfest at Red Lobster. He did great for a first timer, but I knew I would be the one cracking everything for him. Every mom knows this struggle. So, I ordered the Crab Cakes and Crab Oscar topped Salmon for him. We ordered the new parmesan corn on the side. He licked his plate clean, my friends! This always makes me happy.
We didn’t have enough room for the Crab Lover’s Dream with Crab Linguini Alfredo. My server helped me box it up. Love great service! Leftovers means I don’t have to cook on another day. Yay! … my poor hubs. He really missed out.

What’s YOUR favorite crab dish?
I’ve been to that exact restaurant years ago when my husband and I were first dating!! I love crab fest!! I would have been a pig and ate it all! 🙂
LOL. I’m piggy pig pig myself, and proud of it too. 😀
OMG my mouth is drooling!! I have to go to Red Lobster this weekend!
I hope you get a chance to go. You won’t regret it. 🙂
Wow – all these choices look amazing!!! Thanks for sharing ??
Thank you. 🙂

That drink loos so yummy, and i love Deadliest Catch! You did an amazing job capturing your dinner- it’s a tricky think to get a good shot in restaurant lighting. Bravo Mama Maggie!
Thank you. I had to move tables to get natural light. Window seat, always.
Wow this looks super good, I have never been to red lobster before they don’t have one in Canada!! but I always eat there biscuits that they sell at Costco!
Oh no! But I love that Costco sells their biscuits. 🙂
Those crabs look so good. Love all your photos, made me want to go Red Lobster!
They were SOOOO good… and thank you. 🙂
I’m happy eating the whole basket of biscuits! They’re the best!
No kidding! I love their biscuits. 🙂
Seriously? I want to eat everything you pictured here. So, thanks for not including dessert. 😉
When does Crabfest end? I need to get there soon!
Lol! I’m not sure. I’ll have to check out their website, but go before it’s too late.
Wow! First of all, I have to admit that I’ve never taken part in the crab fest at Red Lobster … but the lobster linguine alfredo sounds AMAZING, and I feel like I have to try everything out based on your photos alone! Awesome!!
Thank you. You must visit the Crabfest and check it out for yourself. So yummy!
The crab looks so delicious. I think we’re going to need to stop by Red Lobster this weekend. Yum! And I’m totally agree that restaurant leftovers are the best. One less meal to cook and everyone likes them.
No kidding! I’m always happy for leftovers. 🙂
We just went to Red Lobster last week. My daughter got to try the biscuits for the first time and she loved them. We should go back for Crab Fest.
Totally! I love their biscuits.
I can’t believe I’m about to say this but I don’t think I’ve ever actually been to a Red Lobster before!!! Now I feel silly and like I have to go hah
OMG! You must go. You won’t be sorry.
Everything looks so good. Ironically, my favorite dish there is not a lobster dish – it’s the shrimp alfredo pasta. Maybe next time I’ll order it with lobster?!
The shrimp alfredo …. Mmmm!
