Why You’ll Love This Recipe ❤️

- Full of flavor. A simple blend of paprika, cumin, oregano, and chile de árbol gives the shrimp plenty of Mexican-inspired flavor.

Ingredients
- Shrimp – Large size shrimp is what you see in the picture. Or use jumbo shrimp.
- Onion and Garlic – or use 1 tablespoon onion powder and 1 tablespoon garlic powder.
- Oregano is citrusy and robust in flavor.
- Paprika is smoky and mildly sweet.
- Cumin is earthy and warm.
- Chile de Arbol is spicy. Omit if you are not into spicy food. Or use chili powder.
- Olive Oil or swap out for vegetable oil.
- Salt and Black Pepper
For a little more heat, add 1 teaspoon ground chipotle chili.
You’ll also need corn tortillas to assemble the tacos.

Instructions
- Rinse the shrimp and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Coat the shrimp with the spices in a small bowl.
- Toss to cover completely.
You can also use medium shrimp, but larger is better. That way you bite into a juicy shrimp.
I recommend buying peeled and deveined shrimp to save time. It may cost a little more, but the convenience is worth it.

- Heat the oil in a large skillet and add the shrimp.
- Cook for 1 minute and add the garlic and onion.
The beauty of shrimp is that they cook in just a few minutes.
Don’t confuse these with Tacos Gobernador. They consist of cheesy shrimp tacos with roasted poblano peppers and require more time cooking.

- Once cooked, top with chopped cilantro.
- Warm up the tortillas.
- Add some shrimp to a warm corn tortilla to make your seafood tacos.
Tacos are typically made with corn tortillas, but you can also make them with flour tortillas.
