Spiked Agua de Pepino (or Spiked Cucumber Lime Agua Fresca) .. in one word, YUM!

I’ve been wanting to write this recipe forever.

Each time I share an agua fresca recipe on social media, someone always comments about adding vodka or tequila for those of you 21+.

Super refreshing. Super yummy. Perfect when it’s hot out and you need to COOL DOWN.

    More Agua Frescas:

    Pineapple Agua Fresca
    Watermelon Agua Fresca
    Agua de Jamaica
    Agua de Tamarindo

    How to Make It

    • Add cucumbers, lime, sugar, and water to a blender.
    • Blend until smooth.
    • Strain into a large pitcher.
    • Throw away the pulp.
    • Add water and stir.

This is how you make Cucumber Lime Agua Fresca.

If you’re not going to make the cocktail right away, cover the pitcher and place in the fridge.

It will need a good stir before making.

    • Add ice to a glass.
    • Add tequila.
    • Add cucumber agua fresca.

    TEQUILAS I RECOMMEND

    Patrón Silver
    Herradura Tequila Silver
    1800 Tequila Silver
    Cazadores Tequila Blanco
    Casa Noble Crystal
    Casa Dragones Blanco
    Espolòn Blanco
    Pueblo Viejo Blanco

Any of these brands make great tequila cocktails. Some cost more than others. In the end, it’s a matter of taste and budget.

A wooden spoon stirring the cocktail served in a glass.

    • Stir to combine.
    • Serve immediately.

If you don’t serve immediately, the ice will begin to melt and water down your drink.

    Party Tip:

Make a big pitcher for this Spiked Agua de Pepino. Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap and place in the fridge. Stir RIGHT BEFORE serving. Do not add the ice until ready to serve.

    Change it up!

Any agua fresca recipes (see above) can be used to make this recipe EXCEPT for the creamy ones like Agua de Fresa, Agua de Platano, Pineapple Banana Agua Fresca.

Cucumber and lime slices surrounded by glasses and tequila.

Garnish your glass with cucumber slices and lime wedges.

    Please Note:

Agua Frescas typically do not have alcohol. This is a twist on a classic Mexican drink for those who enjoy happy hour and are 21+ in age.

    Not a fan of tequila?

Tequila reposado was used in this recipe, but you can also use vodka or try a white tequila. Both work in this case.

How long is agua fresca good for?

Preferably, serve immediately. If not, it will last up to 3 days in the fridge.

    Great Idea:

Use Stevia instead of sugar to bring down the caloric intake.

Another great idea is to rim the glass with sugar and use less sugar when making the Cucumber Agua Fresca. For a touch of spice, use Tajin to rim the glass.

This yummy Spiked Agua de Pepino is a refreshing and thirst-quenching drink. Make this as a signature cocktail for a party or at-home happy hour. Hope you enjoy!

I’m temorarily off alcohol but totally looking forward to trying this one out. I’ve always loved your agua frescas as well as those in Tecate and Tijuana.
