The first time I ordered it was in Cabo – such relaxing memories! I had to make it back home for my Cinco de Mayo party. Along with Skinny Orange Margaritas, both cocktails were a huge hit.
With the perfect blend of fresh pineapple and a subtle heat, this drink is more than just a beverage; it’s an experience—a fiesta in a glass.

Fresh lime is essential for this spicy margarita. It’ll act as the glue for the chile powder.
This is one of the easiest margarita recipes to make. Make a big pitcher!
- Pour Tajin (or chile powder) on a small plate.
- Press the rim of the glass into the Tajin until well coated.
You can also use a salt mixture with your chile. Or substitute with sugar.
How to Make a Pitcher:
Let’s say you get ten glasses of 10-ounce servings per pitcher. Use 2 cups of silver tequila, 1 ¼ cup pineapple juice, ⅔ cup orange liqueur, and 1 sliced jalapeno. Muddle the jalapeno with some of the pineapple juice. Pour the jalapeno mixture into pitcher along with the rest of the ingredients. Stir and serve into prepared glasses with ice.
- Place jalapeño slices into a cocktail shaker.
- Using a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon, muddle the jalapeño slices.
Where sweetness meets spice for a taste of paradise.
Slice the fresh jalapeños. You’ll later garnish the glass with a number of jalapeno slices.
How to adjust the heat:
Use only 1 jalapeno spice for mild spice. For a spicy drink, use 2 jalapeno slices. 3-4 jalapeno slices for really hot.
- Add tequila, pineapple juice, orange liquor, and fresh ice.
- Shake until the outside of the shaker mists.
- Add ice and 1 or 2 jalapeño slices to the glass, and garnish with a pineapple chunk.
- Pour the margarita into the glass.
This perfect margarita is one of the most delicious cocktails that you can make at home. It’s a great way to enjoy fresh fruit with a bit of heat.
With the first sip, your taste buds come alive with the perfect blend of fresh pineapple flavor and a subtle heat that sparks your senses.
