Made with only 2 ingredients. It’s the perfect appetizer – mild, versatile, and caters to all taste preferences.

I love spicy salsa like chile de arbol salsa and jalapeno salsa, but this one adds flavor without the heat.

Get ready to make game day or your next party a hit with this simple yet incredibly tasty dip!

    🥫 Ingredients

Cream cheese on a plate and salsa in a bowl sitting next to each other.
    • 1 package of softened cream cheese
    • 1 cup tomato salsa (chunky salsa, mild salsa, whatever you prefer)

This dip is meant to be mild and perfect for big crowds. The cream cheese really brings down the heat and is suitable for just about any palate.

You can change it up if you like by adding a dash of garlic powder or onion powder. Or give it a little more texture by adding ½ cup cheddar cheese and ½ cup Greek yogurt.

    🎸 Why This Dip Rocks

    • Versatility: Whether it’s a casual family gathering, college football weekend, or a festive Cinco de Mayo party, this dip is always a hit.
    • Easy to Make: With just two main ingredients and simple instructions, this is one of the easiest dips you’ll ever make.
    • Crowd-Pleasing: Its mild yet tantalizing flavor makes it suitable for the whole family, from kids to adults.

    👩🏼‍🍳 Instructions

The ingredients needed to make the dip inside a blender.
    • Combine the softened cream cheese with your favorite salsa in a food processor or blender.
    • Blend until smooth.

    🌶️ Adjusting the Heat

If the dip’s too mild, consider adding a sprinkle of cayenne or a few tablespoons of really hot salsa to turn up the heat. For a milder taste, mix in a tablespoon of sour cream until you reach the desired spice level.

The dip blended inside a blender.
    • Blend the ingredients until you achieve a creamy dip consistency.

Look at the orange color. That’s because we used tomato salsa. Yes, you can change it up and use green salsa instead. See my roasted salsa verde recipe.

This is a great introductory dip for someone who is not used to spicy food. The cream cheese is rich and the flavors are very mild.

Even beginners can whip up this simple recipe and easy cream cheese dip in a matter of minutes.

    🥄 Make Ahead

    • You can prepare this easy dip recipe ahead of time.
    • Just store the creamy salsa dip in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days for the best results.

    🫙 Storing Instructions

Leftovers? No problem. Store leftovers in a sealable, airtight container in the fridge. The dip will stay fresh and tasty for up to 4 days, making it a great make-ahead option for football games or Taco Tuesday celebrations.

    🫑 Serving Suggestions

    • Pair this delicious cream cheese dip with your favorite tortilla chips (totopos) for the ultimate party appetizer.
    • It’s also great with bagel chips, pita chips, bell pepper slices, or celery sticks.
