Someone stop me! I’ve been making smoothies almost everyday. I just can’t get enough of them. The best part for me is that they are filling and keep me going for hours and hours. Even my Little Red will have one instead of breakfast or lunch. This Berry Protein Smoothie is a total winner.

My Little Red is a normal, picky-eating kid. He is not fond of almond butter, flax oil, or chia seeds. Me, on the other hand, I think they’re outstanding additions to any smoothie. Almond butter, I like for the protein. Flax oil is full of Omega-3 essential fatty acids, lignans, and fiber. Chia seeds help control hunger and has healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Of course I want to give these nutrients to my son. That’s why smoothies seriously rock! Moms can be get kids to eat foods they don’t like to eat… Let’s just keep that between us.
Other drinks my kiddo loves Chocomil, Atole de Guayaba, Atole de Avena.
I also add a tablespoon of protein powder. There are several brands out there. This one is vanilla, and it goes well with the Berry Protein Smoothie. If you don’t like the vanilla kind, you can also get the unflavored kind.
My kiddo loves strawberries! He loves Strawberry Tamales, Fresas con Crema, Raspados Mexicanos (strawberry flavored!)
My Little Red drank his entire Berry Protein Smoothie. It’s sweet, delicious, and full of yummy berries. The best and most important part is that its full of excellent nutrients and protein that will keep you going. Hope you enjoy!
