    • In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, a portion of the cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

    🫙 Storing Instructions

Store leftover French toast bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in the air fryer for a few minutes until warm and crispy again. Avoid microwaving if possible, as it can make them soft instead of crisp.

    🙋🏻‍♀️ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I use a different type of bread?

Yes. While brioche gives the best texture, you can also use challah, white bread, or Texas toast.

Do I need to preheat the air fryer?

Preheating helps the bites cook evenly and gives them a crispier texture.

Can I make these ahead of time?

They are best fresh, but you can reheat them in the air fryer to bring back the crispiness.

Can I make them less sweet?

Yes. You can reduce or skip the cinnamon sugar coating and serve with fruit instead.

Do I need to flip them in the air fryer?

It is not always necessary, but flipping halfway through can help them brown more evenly.

    Ingredients

    • 4 slices brioche
    • 2 large eggs
    • ¼ cup milk
    • Pinch of salt
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • ¼ cup granulated sugar

    Instructions

    • Cut the brioche slices into 9 equal squares.
    • In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs until lightly beaten. Add the milk, vanilla, ¼ teaspoon of the cinnamon, and a pinch of salt; whisk until combined.
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously spray the basket with cooking oil.
    • Dip each bread square into the egg mixture for about 5 seconds per side. Only dip as many pieces as will fit in your air fryer basket without crowding.
    • Arrange the coated bread pieces in a single layer in the air fryer. Air fry for 5–8 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
    • While the bites cook, stir together the remaining cinnamon and the granulated sugar in a small bowl.
    • Immediately toss the hot French toast bites in the cinnamon-sugar mixture so it sticks well.
    • Repeat with remaining bread squares as needed.
    • Serve with fresh fruit, powdered sugar, or maple syrup and enjoy!

    Notes

Tossing the bites in cinnamon sugar right away helps the coating adhere perfectly.
