    🍍 Ingredients

The ingredients needed to make the smoothie sitting on a marble surface and labeled.
    • Pineapple (cleaned and diced)
    • Coconut milk
    • White sugar
    • Vanilla extract
    • Ice

Notes: Set aside ¼ cup of the pineapple. We’ll need it when we serve.

    Variations

Mix it up and make it your own. You can also add mango, banana, orange, or fresh spinach to the smoothie. Whatever your heart desires.

    Instructions

A blender with ice and the ingredients needed to make the smoothie.
    • In a blender combine pineapple and ice. Blend until smooth.
    • In a bowl combine coconut milk and sugar. Pour into the pineapple smoothie and blend for 1– 2 minutes.

Instead of sugar, use a sugar substitute like Stevia, maple syrup, or raw cane sugar.

Blending with the ice cubes will make the mixture thicker. For a thinner smoothie, only add a few ice cubes to the blender.

A glass filled with part of the smoothie mixture.
    • Serve in glass. Fill ½ of the glass with the pineapple Pina colada.
    • Top with pieces of fresh pineapple and a stick of fresh mint (optional).

    For Adults

This is a non-alcoholic version meant for anyone and at different times of the day. To make it an adult beverage, add a splash of rum, vodka, or tequila.

    👩🏼‍🍳 Pro Tips

    • We’re using coconut milk in this recipe but feel free to adjust. Swap out for almond milk, regular milk, or coconut water.
    • To use frozen pineapple, remove from the freezer and thaw slightly before adding to the blender.
    • Make a protein smoothie! Add one or two scoops of unflavored protein powder to the blender. Vanilla protein powder works too!

    🫙 Storing Instructions

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within 24 hours.

Make ahead of time for busy mornings. Then, freeze in sealable bags, remove as much air as possible, for up to 4 months. Defrost and enjoy!
