    Ingredients

    • 10 chocolate heart candies
    • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • pinch salt
    • ¼ cup white sugar
    • ¼ cup brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoon red sugar (for sprinkling)
    • ¼ cup butter
    • ½ cup peanut butter
    • 1 egg
    • dash of vanilla extract

    Instructions

    • In a bowl, combine the room temperature ingredients: white and brown sugar, softened butter, and peanut butter.
    • Add the egg and mix until well combined.
    • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
    • Fold the dry mixture into wet ingredients. Continue mixing until smooth.
