Sweet and Delicious Cream Cheese Frosting

    Published: Apr 1, 2016 · Updated: Nov 7, 2024 by Maggie Unzueta

Sweet, creamy, and slightly tangy. Cream Cheese Frosting goes with just about any dessert. From cakes to cupcakes, it would make a dirt, old shoe taste good. However, I don't advice it. :)

Cream Cheese Frosting in a mixing bowl

I saw a viral video of a baby eating cake for the first time. She had cake everywhere. All over her face, her arms. She was grabbing it by the fist fulls and shoving it into her mouth. It was hilarious! That was probably me as a baby. Cake is like comfort food at night with a glass of wine and a good Netflix series. Or after you finally left that idiot boyfriend, cake is there for you. Cake listens. Cake understands. Now that we’ve established what a glutton I am, let’s look at my cream cheese frosting recipe. Because you can’t have cake without frosting.

    Cream Cheese Frosting

Cream cheese frosting. Each time I taste it, it’s like the heavens open. Fat, cute, little cherubims start playing harps in my mouth. God himself probably invented it because He loves us and wants to see us happy. Creamy, salty tangy. Put it on a dirty, filthy shoe, and it would taste good. (No, I haven’t tried it).

The Kitchen Aid is your friend. Remember hand mixers? Those were the days… If I ever need to move my enormous Kitchen Aid somewhere and can’t, I’ll take out my hand mixer. So, it is good to have one on hand. I can’t picture my cooking life without my Kitchen Aid. You can make just about anything with it – cookies, pasta, grind meat. I need more attachments though. (Honey, if you are reading this… HINT! HINT! And, no. This does not involve any batteries) 😉

Trying out the Cream Cheese Frosting

If I could stick my head in the bowl…
If I could fill up a bathtub with cream cheese frosting…
Better yet… If I could eat as much cream cheese frosting as I wanted and not gain an ounce, that would be so flippin’ amazing!

I had to lick this off. I mean… some of it got on my finger. Then some of it got on my spoon. Then on my chocolate cake. Then some in my mouth.

Yes, I’d rather have cake than any other type of dessert, and cream cheese frosting goes well with just about anything.
