These thirst-quenching Agua Fresca Recipes are perfect for summer.

Agua fresca means “fresh water” in Spanish. These Mexican drinks are made with ripe fruit, sugar, and water. They are non-alcoholic and found at any restaurant, ice cream shops, and street vendors.

They usually take minutes to make. All you need is ripe fruit, a blender, and strainer. The riper the fruit, the sweeter it will be. Sometimes, sugar is not even necessary.

These Agua Fresca recipes are a great way to keep hydrated this summer and excellent source of essential vitamins. For those of you 21+, try a spiked agua fresca by adding a splash of vodka or tequila.

From pineapple to watermelon, there’s something for everyone. Hope you give one of these a try. You never know when you’ll find your new favorite summer sipping drink!
