Instructions

  • On a wooden board, arrange the square candies in a 3 x 3 square, or square brownies.
  • Melt dark chocolate in the microwave, pour into a piping bag and fill around the candies or brownies.
  • Sprinkle shredded coconut over the melted chocolate.
  • Brush off excess coconut. It’ll look like a game board.
  • Cool the base for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Melt half the white chocolate. Add green food coloring and stir.
  • Insert wooden toothpicks into the marshmallows.
  • Dip five marshmallows one by one halfway into the green chocolate and place in the coconut.
  • Attach the eyes while the chocolate is still wet.
  • Melt the remaining dark chocolate and apply hair. Cool the monsters.
  • For the orange monster, color the chocolate orange and decorate the monsters in the same way, using sprinkles instead of coconut.
  • Divide the monsters on the chocolate the board.
  • Once you're done with the last monster, it's ready to serve!

Notes

The board can be made from sandwich cookies or square cake pieces.
Instead of a board, place them on a stick and serve as pops.
You can improvise with the monsters. Dip marshmallows in dark or purple chocolate and top with 1 or 3 eyes.
