Chicken Taco Seasoning

This Chicken Taco Seasoning is a versatile blend of cumin, oregano, and more. It’s easy to make, adds flavor to any dish, and much better than the ones you’ll find at the store.

  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • Store in an airtight container.

To Use As a Dry Rub:

  • For 2 lbs of chicken, use 2 tablespoon of the blend. Lightly coat chicken with olive oil then sprinkle generously with the seasoning.

To Use As A Marinade:

  • Place 2 lbs chicken, 2 tablespoon of the chicken taco seasoning, 2 tablespoon olive oil, and ½ cup white distilled vinegar (or lime juice) to a large sealable bag. Marinade for 1 hour to overnight.

Notes

Storing Instructions
Place in an airtight container and in a dark place. Keep away from light, heat, and moisture. Over time, the seasoning mix will lose its flavor and color. Try to use it within 6 months to a year for maximum flavor.
Spice It Up
  • REALLY HOT: If you can handle your spice, add 1 teaspoon ground chile de arbol to the recipe. 
  • Hot: Add ½ teaspoon ground chile de arbol. 
  • Spicy but not hot: Add ½ teaspoon ground chile california
Can’t find chile de arbol? Substitute with cayenne.
