Mango Agua Fresca

Mango Agua Fresca is a refreshing and fruity traditional Mexican drink made by blending ripe mangoes with water, sugar, and served over ice. Perfect for hot summer days

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups mangoes (peeled and rough chopped)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 6 cups water
  • ice

Instructions

  • Place the peeled & chopped mangos, sugar, and water in your blender.
  • Process until you have a fine and smooth texture.
  • Pour in a large pitcher. Taste to check sweetness.
  • Add ice cubes to a glass.
  • Pour and enjoy!

Notes

Instead of sugar, use a sugar substitute like Stevia, agave syrup, or honey. 
How to choose ripe mangoes
It’s all about the squeeze test. A ripe mango should give a little to the touch. That indicates it’s ready to eat or blend.
How do you use frozen mangoes?
Yes! These are a great option for when the fresh fruit is out of season. Thaw them overnight in the fridge. Frozen mangoes will release more liquid when you blend them so you may have to adjust the amount of water that you use.
