INGREDIENTS
Rice Milk Sweetened Condensed milk Evaporated milk Vanilla Raisins Cinnamon Ground cinnamon Anise
In a pot add the rice, cinnamon, anise, and water and boil until the rice is cooked.
Discard the cinnamon stick and anise, then drain the liquid. Add milk, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla. Stir to mix and let it simmer on low heat
From here, some people will add rum, egg yolks, or orange rind, and some people don't. In this grandma's recipe, we will add raisins.
The recipe here is the way my grandma and my mom make it, but it varies, you will even see differences between Mexican states and regions. Hope you enjoy it!
