To Make the Cocktail:
- ¾ cup strawberries chopped (about 5 strawberries)
- 4 jalapeño slices seeds removed
- 1 tablespoon agave nectar (or simple syrup)
- 4 oz silver tequila
- 1.5 tablespoon lime juice
For the Rim:
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- lime wedges
To Make the Cocktail:
In a shaker, add strawberries, 2 jalapeño slices, agave, tequila, and lime juice.
Muddle until strawberries and jalapeños are fully mashed.
Add ice and shake well for about 10 to 15 seconds.
For the Rim:
Mix the lime zest with the sugar.
Rub the edge of the glass with a lime wedge and dip the glass into the mixture.
Fill the glass with lots of ice.
Using a strainer, pour the drink into the glass.
Top with strawberries and jalapeno slices.
Serve cold and enjoy!
How to Make a Pitcher:
Use 3 ¾ cups strawberries (or 1 ½ cups strawberry juice), 1 sliced jalapeno, ⅔ cup agave nectar, 2 ½ cup tequila, ½ cup lime juice.
Muddle the jalapeno, strawberries, and lime juice. Strain the jalapeno-strawberry mixture into a pitcher along with the rest of the ingredients. Stir and serve into prepared glasses with ice.
However, for a party, I highly suggest using 1 ½ cup strawberry juice instead of fresh strawberries as that is easier. Muddle the jalapeno with the lime juice. Strain the jalapeno mixture into a pitcher. Pour in the remaining ingredients. Stir right before serving. Taste for good measure.
