Sweet Pickled Jalapeños

Jalapeños Apple cider vinegar Granulated sugar Garlic powder (or granules) Ground turmeric (optional) Peppercorns

Cut off jalapeño stems, and slice into ½″ rounds. Put the jalapeño slices aside. If you're not into handling fresh chiles regularly, consider wearing gloves to dodge any potential hand burns.

Mix apple cider vinegar, white sugar, garlic powder, turmeric, and peppercorns in a big pot. Bring this vinegar mix to a full boil, then lower the heat to medium. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Toss in the jalapeno slices, crank up to medium heat, and let it simmer. Keep it under 5 minutes for flavors and a hint of crunch.
