Water Butter Sugar Salt Flour Vanilla Egg Oil Sugar Ground cinnamon
Add water, butter, sugar, and salt in the pan and bring it to a boil. Add the flour, reduce the heat and keep stirring until the mixture comes together. Let cool, then add vanilla and egg.
You can use a regular hand mixer or by hand, you’ll see the dough be smooth. Allow this to cool completely.
Add the mixture to a large piping bag and heat the oil in a large pot or deep skillet. Pipe out the mixture and fry for 2 minutes on each side.
Mix the cinnamon and sugar, and roll the fried dough while warm in the cinnamon mixture.
You can serve them with atole de chocolate, champurrado or café de olla.
