Pinto beans Water Garlic Onion Salt

Sort the beans

Remove any twigs, rocks, or hard dirt. Don't skip this step. Rinse and repeat, or they will taste like mud.

Soak the beans

Soak them overnight, or add the dried beans and 2 inches of water above the beans and bring to a boil. Turn heat off and soak for one hour.

Soak the beans

In a large stockpot, add enough water to cover the beans, and add onion and garlic. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to low. Add salt. Cook until they are tender.

Tell me, how easy was that?! You’ll be cooking your pinto beans like a pro in no time. Serve with your favorite dish.
