  • Rinse and pat dry the pork chops.
  • Season both sides with salt, pepper, cumin, and oregano.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet.
  • Sear the pork chops on all sides.
  • About 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • Remove from the skillet.
  • Add the tomatoes, onion, and serrano pepper.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Add the water and mix to combine.
  • Return the pork chops to the skillet.
  • Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until pork is fully cooked.

Notes

Cooked Pork Temperature: ranges from 145 to 160 degrees F, depending on the cut of pork. Pork chops should be cooked to a minimum temperature of 145 degrees F followed by a three minute rest.
Instead of a serrrano pepper, you can also use a jalapeno
