Cuban Sandwich

When you have leftover pork roast and deli ham in the fridge, you make a Cuban Sandwich with several pieces of cheese to make your mouth melt.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 slices dill pickles thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup leftover pork
  • 2 slices Hillshire Farm Deli Ham

Instructions

  • Heat griddle on low heat.
  • Butter one side of each bread.
  • On the non-buttered side, add mustard, then cheese, pickles, pork, ham.
  • Top with the bread, making sure the buttered side is up.
  • Place buttered side of the sandwich on the griddle.
  • Let cook for 4-5 minutes, checking often making sure it is not burning.
  • Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  • It is ready when the cheese has melted.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Cuban Sandwiches are made with Cuban bread rolls. However, you can also use regular rolls.
