Chelada

This Chelada recipe is a refreshing Mexican beer cocktail. With a tangy twist of lime and salt, it's a great option to beat the heat!

Ingredients

  • 1 can beer Corona, Modelo light, any light beer
  • salt (to taste)
  • 1 lime (cut in half)
  • ice (as needed)

Instructions

  • Place a mug or glass in the freezer until very cold.
  • Rub the rim with lime.
  • Dip the glass in salt.
  • Add lots of ice to the glass.
  • Squeeze all the lime juice into the glass and add a pinch of salt.
  • Pour in the beer.
  • Mix to combine and enjoy!

Notes

For a spicy twist, dip the glass in chamoy and coat in Tajin or chile powder. Or, add a slice of jalapeno. 
If making this for a party, prepare the glasses and place in the fridge until your guests arrive.
