You can take the man out of Buffalo, but you can’t get the Buffalo out of the man.
My husband is from … you guessed it… Buffalo, New York. Christopher LOVES chicken wings. Not only that, but he likes them hot. Definitely can’t feed a 7-year-old hot wings. Mexican Maggie here, I’m sure you all know by now that I like it hot too. The last thing moms want is to make a separate meal for the kids. Ahh… the sacrifices we make for our kids. Insert Farm Rich Bone In BBQ Wings and Farm Rich Boneless BBQ Bites.
I’ve been known to jazz up my shortcuts. Heck, I wrote a cookbook on cake box desserts! You take the shortcuts where you can. Right, moms? The freezer section is a busy mom’s friend. Here, I made something that everyone in my family loved including the non-spicy eater: Not Too Spicy Chicken Bites.
My Little Red really wants to eat spicy food too. Apparently, kids his age are marveled at spicy foods, a symbol of “I’m a big kid.” Like losing teeth and growing a hair on his chinny chin chin. I started letting my son taste mild salsas and adding more pepper to his eggs. It’s my way of introducing him to spice not necessarily the heat. I knew that the sauce in the boneless BBQ Bites package was too spicy for him. So, I did two things to it. Yup, that’s right, I added just TWO extra ingredients. I added a splash of milk. (Milk tames the heat, btw). And I added some honey. Easy peasy! And we got a happy family. I served these Not Too Spicy Chicken Bites with a side of ranch. DELICIOUS!
