When people ask me where to go in Coronado, I always mention Moo Time. Kind of like the Hotel Del and the Ferry Landing, Moo Time is very Coronado. It is on Orange Avenue next to all the cool shops. With the smell of waffles making from blocks away, it’s hard not to stop by.
Moo Time was one of the very first ice cream shops to do mixes. I’m sure you’ve been to a place like this. You choose a flavor and a bizillion wonderful goodies. Then, they mix everything together on a cold slab and create a fabulous, delicious cone just for you.
My poor Little Red… I asked him to choose only one flavor. He sat there in front of the counter carefully deciding what he should get. It’s not like we never visit either. Ice cream happens often at my house especially when it’s blazing hot in classy San Diego.
Moo Time makes their own ice cream. This is birthday cake with sprinkles. I had to take a quick picture because it was melting. Licking fingers is allowed when it comes to melted ice cream. Isn’t it?
Turns out Elvis left Vegas and relocated to Coronado Island. If you can’t find Moo Time, just look for the tourists snapping pictures next to the King.
Cheesy Joke Alert!
Why don’t cows have money?
Because the farmer milks them dry. 🙂
If tourists are not by shaking it up with the King, they are visiting the cow. Both of these are located in the front of the store. Where else would you put a statue of a cow?
Moo Time screams fun. The retro decor, tiles on the floor and walls, neon signs, yummy ice cream cakes. It’s a must visit when in Coronado.
