The Magic Bus Wine Tour

San Diego bloggers. Limo bus. Wine tasting… and rain! We didn’t plan the rain, but luckily, it doesn’t rain in San Diego like it does in Missouri. It sprinkles then it stops. Then everyone returns to driving normally. What did it matter anyways? I wasn’t driving on this Magic Bus Wine Tour and neither was my husband. We sat back in the limo bus and sang our way up to Temecula… with a glass of champagne, of course.

The funny part about being around bloggers is that we all understand each other. The cheers after a tweet goes viral. Discussing in depth the latest Facebook update. My favorite, though, is how playing on our phones is totally, 100% acceptable. This was no different. We had three different Periscopes in the limo bus AND a Blab recording. #BloggersGoneBad

Danza del Sol Winery Trilogy 2011 | In Mama Maggie's Kitchen

The first winery we hit was Danza del Sol. A Spanish style casita with red tile roof housed the tasting room. Inside, we were treated to a few wonderful tastings. My favorite was this one: Danza del Sol Trilogy 2011. It’s made up for three wines – Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cab Franc. Strong smoky notes on the nose. A robust red wine rounded off by sweet berries. To visit the Danza del Sol: CLICK HERE

Cougar Vineyard in Temecula | In Mama Maggie's Kitchen

Next stop on the limo wine tour was Cougar Vineyard and Winery. These guys are growing Italian wine varietals in Temecula, California. Very cool, right? This here is the Cougar Vineyard 2014 Pinot Grigio. Light, crisp, lemony. Perfect with seared ahi tuna and light enough for sushi. The winery also has a deli inside the tasting room just in case you need something to nibble on.

The views from this winery are incredible. Me and Dr. Vogelmann (aka the hubs). This picture is a framer, for sure. Looks almost like we have been Photoshopped in, but no. The vineyards and the hills are all real, all beautiful. To visit the Cougar Vineyards: CLICK HERE

Temecula is only a short drive from San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County. It’s a perfect place for a romantic getaway or a bachelorette party. I’m already planning my next visit. Cheers!

Ooh how fun! Where does the ride start? How long is the whole trip from start to return?
