I love doing restaurant reviews, but sometimes, too many meals out is not good for you. In fact, in November at the height of my restaurant reviewing, my tummy felt queasy and upset for days. I got to a point where I didn’t know if I was hungry or thirsty. I even gained 10 pounds, and that wasn’t because of the Holidays. Each morning, I would wake up feeling bloated.
You know how you just know your body? Well, I knew that I needed to stop eating out and start eating more greens. Juicing crossed my head many times, and it was like a sign from God when I came across Illuminate Juice.
Illuminate Juice offers 1-day cleanse ($55), 2-day cleanse ($110), or 3-day cleanse ($165). During the cleanse, you drink 6 different juices with numbers on the lid. They have names like Rise and Energy and labeled with what is in each bottle. Rise, for example, has apple, kale, spinach, celery, and lemon. My Little Red loved Bliss. I think it was the honey and cinnamon that he liked. They also offer a Custom 1-Day Cleanse ($55), depending on what you need.
The best part to Illuminate Juice is that they are local to San Diego. They even deliver, or you can pick it up. Seriously, I LOVE that! I’m not always on my bicycle in Coronado. I have deadlines, and I’m a single mom. It’s a lot of work to juice everyday.
