Boating has to be one of my favorite things ever! I love jumping waves. The salty ocean wind in my hair. Wake boarding, inner tubing, or watching seagulls dive into the water for an afternoon snack. There is a camaraderie among other boaters, a mutual respect for the ocean and the life it sustains. I usually drink white wine on boating days, but this last time around, I went with the sparkling and light Prosecco from Gooseneck Wines. Something to celebrate the unusually warm weather for this time of the year in beautiful San Diego.
One day, I will own a boat of my own. Something fast and something fun. At the moment, I am at the mercy of friends who generously let me join them on their water excursions. Each time, I bring them a little something something for their generosity. After all, diesel is expensive. The Gooseneck Prosecco made quite the splash. (Pun intended). We popped the cork and let the prosecco flow! It is fruity and strong of grapefruits and green apples. Bubbly, crisp, and delightfully refreshing. It would pair nicely with soft cheeses, or a white fish sashimi. This is an excellent prosecco to transport you to a sunny day on a boat in the middle of winter. For the price, it is a good deal and a great alternative to your usual celebration wine. Gooseneck Vineyards offers the best wine varietals from the most noteworthy wine regions around the world. Prosecco from Italy to Malbec from Argentina. Wine glass required. Passport not necessary.
