Crabfest at Red Lobster 2017

Each year, my family and I look forward to the annual Red Lobster Crabfest. Crabfest is, after all, the ultimate celebration of everything crab, and it’s back at Red Lobster for a limited time! Usually, my husband and my son will look over the new menu items even before we hit the restaurant. This year, they have five brand new and four classic crab entrees. When we walk in, we know exactly what we want, but we still look at the menu because who doesn’t like pretty pictures? You never know what else will catch our eyes. Our favorite and closest location is the one in the Sports Arena area of San Diego.

These biscuits are amazing. Don’t you think? We try not to eat more than one while we’re waiting for our food. Patience is a virtue.

There’s something so good about a simple, green salad. Fresh, light, and yummy. It’s perfect for summer.

To start things off, we ordered the NEW! Three-Cheese Crab Dip. It is a creamy blend of crabmeat and three cheeses (cream cheese, mozzarella, and Monterey Jack), served warm with artisan bread. My friends, this was incredibly decadent, rich, and wonderful. We wanted to lick the bowl clean, but, of course, we couldn’t and didn’t.

Our first entree was the Crab Cakes and Crab-Oscar Salmon dish. This is combination of deliciousness! Crab and other seafoods all in one plate. I really enjoyed the wood-grilled fresh Atlantic salmon and the creamy crab-hollandaise topping. The crab cakes were well-seasoned and sitting on shrimp. Yum! Yum! And more yum!

The Crab Lover’s Dream® is out of this world amazing. I had it at last year’s Red Lobster Crabfest, but it was my husband’s first time trying it. It features wild-caught North American Snow crab legs and king crab legs, paired with Red Lobster’s signature crab linguini Alfredo. So unbelievably good!

Kudos to our server, Jon! He treated us and especially our little red so well. Loved his great energy and his great service.

The story of Crabfest starts at the source. It starts on boats out at sea, catching the delicious crab that ends up on our plates at Red Lobster.

Omg that dip! I am not a huge crab fan but you mix anything with dairy and I’ll give it a shot.
