Nothing like the New Year to make you think about what you can do better or different in the next year. One day, I will find myself saying something like, “I remember way back in 2015.” Lol. This past year went by way too fast. It was as if it were just yesterday that I was saying the same thing about 2014. Sooooo much happened that I had to stop myself today and do a 2015 recap…
I married the man of my dreams.
I moved to a house close to the beach.
I went to Bora Bora and swam in the Coral Reef Garden.
I worked with some amazing chefs.
I drank wine with some amazing winemakers.
I could keep going because 2015 was a big, BIG year. My biggest accomplishment, though, was the family I formed. My Little Red and I were alone for many years. Some of you know my struggles, challenges, and triumphs as a single mother. It was mostly a sad and lonely existence that I don’t care to remember. Now with Christopher, we have the little family I always dreamt of. He was the piece to the puzzle that is US. Oddly enough, I now look back at my past and bless it. Without it, I would never have experienced all of this. Happiness, love, joy, appreciation… these words took on different meanings in 2015. Our lives are richer, deeper, fuller. It is hard to believe how much my life, my son’s life, my Christopher’s life changed in just a few short months. Since life is not slowing down, I will. One of my goals for 2016 is to slow down and breathe in the goodness of each day.
My question to the Universe, to God, to Source, the Big Guy Upstairs: What’s next? … because I’m ready for more! Happy New Year!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
