My love, Christopher, is from Buffalo, New York, and it’s freezing there right now. They were recently hit with 6 feet of snow. I’m cold just thinking about it. Luckily for Christopher, he moved to sunny San Diego just a few weeks ago. For us in classy SD, 50 degrees requires a jacket, mittens, and a scarf. I know it sounds crazy to some of you, but we really do pay for this type of weather. Our cost of living is nuts! Ok, let’s not go there…
Our Holidays in San Diego include making sand snowmen on the beach and turning on fake fireplaces. It might rain a day or two, but mostly we experience cool ocean breezes. Living so close to the beach, we also get fog, and in Coronado, that means hearing the fog horn at 3am. That is so not exciting. In a way, I feel sorry for my Christopher. This will be his first non-white Christmas, but I’m pretty sure he’ll adapt to the beach life. I mean, wouldn’t you?
Even if there isn’t snow outside, it’s still the Holidays. Nothing says “Let’s celebrate” like a Prosecco at a Holiday party. Voveti Prosecco is a blend of northern Italy’s renowned Prosecco region of Veneto and the renowned winemaking area of Venezia Giulia. This wine union of the Ferrer and Collavini families has strong notes of honeysuckles on the nose. It tastes of crisp apples and melons with good acidity. You can pair it with sushi or a cheese and olives platter. Or, you bring in the New Year with a glass of Voveti Prosecco. Regardless of how you drink it, it is sure to be a hit at your Holiday party with or without the snow.
Cheers! Santé ! Salud!
